Riesz Frigyes (1880-1956) magyar matematikus, egyetemi tanár, a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia tagja, a funkcionálanalízis egyik megalapítója. Levelezését eddig is az Egyetemi Levéltár őrizte, de most a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Rényi Alfréd Matematikai Kutatóintézete jóvoltából hagyatéka kiegészült kézirataival, javított korrektúráival és egyéb jegyzeteivel.
