Das Kieler Runenprojekt

The Kiel rune project was a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 1993-1999 and from 2001-2012 at the Nordic Institute (today the Institute for Scandinavian Studies, Frisian Studies and General Linguistics) of the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel under the direction of Prof Dr. Edith Marold and (since 2004) Dr. Christiane Zimmermann.

The result of the project is a linguistic database of the oldest written monuments of Germanic.
