In order to increase the efficiency of library services, according to Article 137/A of the Student Requirements Regulation, effective from the 1 st of October 2022, the condition for taking endof-semester examinations and registering for the next semester is the payment of the library overdue fee in the libraries of the University Library Service.

On the 17th of September 2022, as part of the Cultural Heritage Days, the University Library and Archives’ new exhibition was opened, presenting the most important documents and symbols of our university’s history.

For technical reasons, the smaller reading rooms of the library will be closed until 16.00 on the 26th of September 2022.

We would like to inform our visitors that due to the ongoing storage cleaning work, some of our stock sections will be unavailable or only partially available in the coming weeks.

On the 2nd of September 2022, ELTE Librarians’ Day took place at the Library of Faculty of Law – after an unintentional 3-year break. The event focused on the changes in the three years since COVID. The programme started with presentations by the library directors on their tasks and achievements in the past period. Further, Ágnes Koreny, Deputy Director General of Metropolitan Szabó Ervin Library, gave a spellbinding lecture on the future challenges and possible solutions for academic libraries.

Due to the Cultural Heritage Days, the library services of the ELTE University Library and Archives will be inaccessible on Saturday, on the 17th of September 2022.

According to the traditions of Eötvös Loránd University, the Senate of the University presented the awards to the lecturers, employees and staff who provided excellent work and outstanding performance at the opening Senate meeting of the academic year. Gale Research Complete database is going to be accessible due to the trial access. The database includes peer-reviewed journal articles, e-books, primary sources, daily and weekly newspapers.

The ProQuest One Academic database can be tested due to the one-month trial acces. The database contains scientific journals, e-books, dissertations, daily and weekly newspapers, videos and many other documents.
