The Citizens of ELTE have the opportunity to try out the following two databases that can be accessed from ELTE IP range or in case of remote access using Stunnel or VPN service.

ProQuest has launched its Open Access Complete e-book package, with around 2 300 books from 12 publishers freely available.

School libraries belonging to the ELTE library network can catalogue their documents in various databases. While maintaining these systems, the ELTE University Library and Archives developed a common search interface in 2011 within the framework of the TÁMOP-3.2.4/09/1/KMR-2010-0021 project, which can be accessed directly at http://gimikatalogus.elte.hu.

The databases can be used without restriction from ELTE IP addresses. In case of remote access databases may accessed after Shibboleth authentication, or for students by using Stunnel, for instructors and for ELTE employees by using a VPN service.

The Arcanum ADT is again available to ELTE citizens in the usual ways.

The fourth quarterly report of the K21 Quality Management Coordination Committee took place in the framework of a Teams meeting. Working group leaders reported on the results and changes of the last quarter.

Through a series of webinars in English, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) provides insight into the contents of their databases, of their services and how to use the database management platform. The service provider will hold webinars on the 8th of November, 2nd of December, 6th of January and 4th of February. You can apply for the first event now.

China's largest scientific platform, CNKI – China National Knowledge Infrastructure – provides full IP-based access to its databases to all EISZ member institutions, so as to ELTE, from the 1st of November 2021 to the 28th of February 2022.

The University Library Service of Eötvös Loránd University is launching its online library course again. The modules of Library Research Methods can be useful for all who want to become conscious user of information and more effective learner.

Oxford University Press has put a list of articles on its website with the aim of providing early-stage researchers with a comprehensive picture of information about publishing in journals. The collection is fully open until 31st of October 2021.

MTMT training sessions are organized by ELTE ULA Education and Research Support Department and Library of Faculty of Humanities for the international lecturers, students, PhD candidates of FOH. MTMT beginners’ and advanced training (for max. 15 person each) is offered free of charge, but registration is required.

ELTE University Library pleased to announce a new series of Research Data Management Trainings presented by the working group of Hungarian Open Repositories (HUNOR), National Research Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH) and the College of University Library Directors (EKK). Unlike the previous workshops of this series this event is a face-to-face meeting. During the workshops, the focus will be on research data management standards and the FAIR principles, which serve to ensure sustainability and greater visibility.

Oxford University Press and EISZ have signed an agreement under which articles submitted by ELTE’s corresponding author for the publisher's hybrid journals may be published in Open Access in 2021 without APC.

EISZ and Oxford University Press have signed an agreement on that corresponding authors affiliated to ELTE will be able to publish their articles Open Access without paying APC in the publisher’s hybrid journals.
